Traffic analytics
This site uses Plausible Analytics to understand which writing and reader paths are useful. It sends page visits and engagement measurements, including scroll depth and time, to Plausible. Reports include page paths, referring websites, browser and device categories, and approximate location.
Plausible states that it uses no analytics cookies or persistent visitor identifiers. It processes IP addresses and browser information to derive approximate location and daily, site-specific visitor counts, without storing raw IP addresses or User-Agent strings. Event and session records support aggregate dashboard reports; these are not recordings of your screen. See Plausible’s data policy for its processing and EU hosting details.
This integration does not enable outbound-click, file-download, form-submission, revenue, or custom-event tracking. It removes page query strings and fragments, including local search terms and campaign tags, before sending analytics. Referrers are reduced to their origin. It does not send contact messages. It loads only on the HTTPS production hostname, not local previews. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, this site does not load the analytics script. Blocking analytics does not prevent reading or navigation.
Preferences and external services
Your appearance preference is stored locally in your browser, not sent to Plausible. Search and filtering run locally.
GitHub Pages hosts this site and handles web requests under GitHub’s privacy statement. Book-cover images may load from Open Library. External destinations, including LinkedIn and retailers, have their own privacy practices. Paid book links are labeled on the Books page; analytics does not identify a purchase or an enquiry.
